**Celebrated around the world for his mastery of Italian music, the tenor will bring his voice to the stage at San Siro for the Olympic Opening Ceremony.**
Milan, 11 January 2026 – Maestro Andrea Bocelli, one of the most recognizable voices on the international artistic scene and a symbol of Italian excellence around the world, will perform at the Opening Ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games on February 6, 2026.
Over the course of his extraordinary career, Maestro Bocelli has masterfully blended the technical excellence of the great Italian opera tradition with a rare ability to convey emotion in an authentic and universal language. His presence at the Ceremony will create a powerful bridge between music and sport.
Returning to the Olympic stage after his performance at the Closing Ceremony of the Torino 2006 Winter Games, Maestro Bocelli remains a key figure for the Italian Olympic Games. He will once again express the spirit of the Games through Italy’s world-renowned musical heritage.
During the Opening Ceremony, his performance will stand as one of the event’s most iconic moments, combining artistic performance with the essence of Olympic values. The objective of Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, in agreement with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP), Città di Milano and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Regione Veneto and Regione Lombardia, Province autonome di Trento and Bolzano, is to plan, organise, finance and implement the Milano Cortina Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2026. Established on 9 December 2019, Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is led by President Giovanni Malagò and CEO Andrea Varnier.
