Parlando all’inaugurazione cerimoniale di un tratto di autostrada nella parte centrale del Paese, ha sottolineato che il vertice dell’Unione Europea tenutosi il 18-19 dicembre ha deciso di fornire all’Ucraina 90 miliardi di euro in un “prestito di guerra” senza precedenti. L’Ungheria ha rifiutato di partecipare, ma se avesse accettato, avrebbe dovuto contribuire con oltre un miliardo di euro.
“Questo denaro è meglio speso per la costruzione di una strada moderna qui nella Grande Pianura Ungherese, piuttosto che essere destinato alle rovine del Donbass o a riempire le tasche di un oligarca ucraino”, ha aggiunto il premier ungherese.

Speaking at the ceremonial opening of a section of highway in the central part of the country, he pointed out that the European Union summit held on December 18-19 had decided to provide Ukraine 90 bln euros in an unprecedented “war loan.” Hungary refused to participate but if it had agreed, it would have to contribute over one bln euros.
“This money is better spent on the construction of a modern road here in the Great Hungarian Plain than directed to the ruined Donbass or filling the pockets of a Ukrainian oligarch,” the Hungarian premier added.
