Prenotazioni di notti tramite piattaforme online in aumento del 18% nel terzo trimestre del 2024. Nel terzo trimestre del 2024, gli ospiti hanno trascorso 366,2 milioni di notti in alloggi a breve termine nell’UE, prenotati tramite Airbnb, Booking, Expedia Group o Tripadvisor. Ad agosto sono state prenotate 152,2 milioni di notti (+21,6% rispetto ad agosto 2023) e a settembre 79 milioni (+14% rispetto a settembre 2023).

Malta guida l’aumento più grande in agosto Tutti i paesi dell’UE hanno registrato un aumento delle notti prenotate tramite piattaforme online ad agosto 2024, il mese di punta del turismo nell’UE. Gli aumenti più consistenti sono stati osservati a Malta (+41,4% rispetto ad agosto 2023), in Germania (+32,7%) e in Francia (+29,9%).
Al contrario, gli aumenti più modesti si sono verificati in Croazia (+9,7%), Bulgaria (+12,2%) e Slovenia (+13,6%).

Malta leads biggest increase in August
All EU countries saw an increase in the number of nights booked through online platforms in August 2024, the busiest month in tourism in the EU in general. The largest increases were found in Malta (+41.4% compared to August 2023), Germany (+32.7%) and France (+29.9%).
By contrast, the smallest rises were observed in Croatia (+9.7%), Bulgaria (+12.2%) and Slovenia (+13.6%).
