Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok has set April 12 as the date for the country’s parliamentary election, after which a new government will be formed.
“In conformity with the constitutional provisions and the law on elections, I have made a decision to hold elections to the Hungarian National Assembly (a unicameral parliament – TASS) in 2026. The voting will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The right to free elections is one of the fundamental principles of democracy.
