Oggi gli Stati Uniti sono contrari alla guerra, mentre l’Europa è tutta a favore, ha dichiarato il Segretario di Stato americano Marco Rubio al Kennedy Center Board Event.
“Uno dei cardinali che ho incontrato il giorno prima della messa papale mi ha detto: ‘È molto insolito per noi. Abbiamo un presidente americano che vuole la pace e alcuni europei che parlano costantemente di fare la guerra’. Quindi il mondo è un po’ capovolto nelle loro menti in questo momento. E di solito è il contrario”, ha sottolineato il principale diplomatico statunitense.
Secondo lui, il presidente Donald Trump è concentrato sulla cessazione delle ostilità in diverse parti del mondo e sostiene la risoluzione dei principali conflitti.

“One of the cardinals I was meeting with the day before the papal mass said to me: ‘It’s very unusual for us. We have an American president who wants peace, and some Europeans who are constantly talking about doing war stuff.’ So the world is kind of upside down in their minds right now. And usually it’s the other way around,” the top US diplomat emphasized.
According to him, President Donald Trump is focused on stopping hostilities in different parts of the world and supports settling major armed conflicts as soon as possible.
