Kremlin vows retaliation after Ukraine’s ATACMS missile attack on Taganrog airfield. According to Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the response will come when and how Russia thinks fit.
MOSCOW, December 12. /TASS/. Russia will definitely retaliate for a recent ATACMS missile attack on its airfield in Taganrog, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
“I’d like to recall the statement the Russian Defense Ministry made unequivocally yesterday saying that there will be a response,” Peskov said. According to him, the response will come when and how Russia thinks fit. “But it will definitely follow,” the Russian presidential spokesman reaffirmed.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Kiev regime launched an attack on the Taganrog airfield in southern Russia’s Rostov Region on the morning of December 11, 2024. An investigation revealed that six US-made ATACMS ballistic missiles were used in the attack. While no damage to the airfield was reported as the debris of ATACMS missiles fell, several personnel were injured.
